It was determined at the December Board of Directors meeting that the "Work Party Raffle" be discontinued for the 2002/2003 calendar years to determine if rewarding members for work party participation really works. New members are still required to complete three work parties their first year of membership. It's up to the rest of us to make the gun club function without any chance of a reward. Most of us who do attend the work parties on a regular basis do so because we enjoy having the club here. We also know that if we don't do something no body else will. We have over 450 dues paying members with a total of 63 regular members having done at least one work party. That doesn't count the new members for 2001. Less than half of the 63 do most of the work at the club and if you don't believe it it's posted outside the office. So, now we're going back to the way it was many years ago to see how many people want to work to help maintain our club without any recognition or reward. Hope we see you out there.
