Trailer For Caretaker

Monday, 19 March 2007

Bob and Kathy Tarr, the club's caretakers for the past ten years, will be leaving at the end of their contract on 30 April 2007.  As part of the process for finding a replacement for them, the board of directors determined that the club needed a newer home for the caretakers, as the existing trailer, which is more than 30 years old, would need more renovation than it is worth.  After a considerable amount of searching, Jim Burdett found a 1995 Guerdon Celebration mobile home near Canby that the club could afford.  The 1280 square foot home was purchased this evening, and will be moved onto the club's property within the next two months after CRGC gets the necessary Clackamas County permits approved.  The new home will be located about 100 feet east of the current trailer.  The existing trailer is too old to be moved, and will be demolished by club members in May.  Some parts of the old trailer can be sold for scrap, but other parts will just be discarded.

If you know of someone who would be interested in being the club's caretaker, please have them call either call or e-mail Jim Burdett (503-266-5327), or Doug Phaneuf (503-651-3035).
