If you love a great garage sale, Canby Rod & Gun Club's annual swap meet will be a hunter's, fisherman's, and camper's dream. Get into your closet and dust off that new or used sportsman's gear and reserve a table. This will be a great opportunity to turn your old or new gear into cash (without anyone knowing) which can be used to buy more much-needed hunting, fishing, or camping gear. We promise not to tell your spouse how much you spend or which gifts you may have received and brought to sell. We should have a great time.
Clear your calendar for Saturday, September 16, 2006, from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
You can reserve a table for a mere $5.00. Members will be admitted at 8:00 AM when showing their current CRGC membership card. The swap meet will be open to the general public at 9:00 AM.
The swap meet was very successful last year. The date of the swap meet has been changed to coincide with the first day the club is open to the public to sight-in their hunting firearms. We should expect a much larger turnout by the general public this year.
To reserve a table call Larry Wright at 503-651-2464 (home) or 503-318-0093 (cell). If you wish to e-mail your registration you may do so by sending a message to sharonw@web-ster.com. If all else fails, e-mail to the club at crgc@canby.com. Reserve your table early as we expect a full house, and have a limited number of tables. Table reservation money will be collected the morning of the swap meet.
If it becomes necessary because of the number of firearms at the swap meet, or if a seller just wishes to use the service, one of CRGC's FFL holders will be at the swap meet and will be able to provide the ATF forms and perform a background check that day. The cost for a background check is $15.00.
