CRGC's junior trap program this Spring starts at 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 1, 2007, and runs through Thursday, March 29, 2007. The program is open to those juniors less than 18 years old. The program consists of training in shotgun safety, shotgun fundamentals, and instruction in trap shooting. Shooting will be done under the supervision of trap instructors and individual coaches.
There is no charge for the program. Participants are asked to bring their own 12 or 20 gauge shotgun (or be able to share one), and be accompanied by an adult. There are a limited number of loaner shotguns that may be available after the first class session. The instruction will be free of charge, and the club will provide the targets and ammunition at no cost.
After the end of the program, the juniors may participate in teams which will shoot in the 8 weeks of the Spring Trap League, which is scheduled to start on Tuesday, April 3, 2007. There will be no charge for the junior teams in the Spring League.
