Junior Program Support

Each year Steve Millar and Ken Pellet, of Millar's Hiway Tire, and Adrian Fisher each donate a rifle to the club to be raffled off at the annual meeting.  The proceeds of the raffle are to be used to support programs for junior shooters at the club.  In 2006 the money was used for the following purposes:

• Support of the junior trap program.  The club paid for the ammunition and trap expense for 23 junior shooters during the month of March, 2006, as they learned shotgun safety and how to shoot trap.  The instructors and coaches for the weekly classes were CRGC members.
• Paid for the trap expenses for 5 junior teams during the club's Spring Trap League during April and May, 2006.
• Purchased ammunition for the junior rifle class in June, 2006.
• Purchased 6 new Savage Mk I bolt action .22LR rifles for use in the hunter education program.
