Fall Trap League

Letters are being sent this week to captains of teams which have participated in previous trap leagues at CRGC. Anyone, however, can organize a team and enter it in the league competition. Team sign-ups are being done on 8/19/03 and 8/26/03. Both days are Tuesdays. The Fall trap league starts on Tuesday, 9/9/03, and continues each Tuesday through 9/30/03.
The Fall trap league is a "fun" shoot, with non-traditional types of trap shooting. This year there are the following four events:
- 16 yard continental doubles
- 27 yard continental (regular)
- 19 yard continental (report, must shoot)
- 16 yard colored bird continental (must shoot)
The "report" event is similar to regular continental style trap except:

After the line is ready, shooter #1 calls for the target, and as soon as the shooter fires at the target the puller releases the target for the next shooter, and so on until all five shooters have fired at targets. If a shooter does not fire at the target it is scored as a loss, and the puller will announce the loss and release another target within 3 seconds after the report. The next shooter after the shooter failing to fire will then shoot at the new target.

After the fifth target is thrown, shooter #2 calls for a target to start the next series of five, and the shooting continues on report in the order 2, 3, 4, 5, 1. The shooting continues in the same manner at the same firing position until all five shooters each started the shooting sequence, and each have had the opportunity to fire at five targets. The shooters then move to the next firing point.

Shooter #1 then starts the sequence again from the new firing point.
The colored bird event will be regular continental style trap except that different colored targets will be loaded randomly in the trap machine. This is a "must shoot" event: when a shooter calls for a target and does not shoot, it is scored as a loss.
