Annual Shoot Results

The club's annual shooting competition was held today (9/12/04) with more than 40 members showing up to participate.  The rifle shooting began at 9:00 AM on the 100 yard range.  The two winners were:

The shotgun shooting started immediately after lunch, which consisted of the same very good fare as at the picnic (except that Dennis Kenagy manned the grill this time):  barbecued ribs and chicken, potato and macaroni salads, and braunschweiger.  The shotgun competition this year consisted of 10 shots at each of the following presentations.

• Continental doubles at trap #1
• Standard trap from the rail at trap #2
• Continental at trap #3 from the 21 yard line while seated
• Standard trap from the 16 yard line at trap #4
• Standard trap at trap #5, with a quail walk from 30 yards to the trap house
• Standard trap at trap #6, in a goose shoot (kneeling position) 15 yards downrange from the trap house
