Work Party #6, 2015

Saturday, 10 October 2015

The weather forecasts for the week prior to the work party were not good, but fortunately the rain held off for the work party.  Unfortunately it dumped on the Rimfire Challenge match later in the afternoon instead.  Members were able to work in dry conditions, and a lot of work got done.  Coffee and doughnuts were available at 7:45 AM, and lunch (from Ebner's), and beverages were available to participants at 12:05 PM.

The following are the tasks that were done:

Thanks go to Pete Kosky (Star Rentals) for the vibrating plate compactor and laser level, Mitch Magenheimer for the small bulldozer, and Mike Norman for the D-8 Caterpillar that were all used during the work party.

At the end of the work part we also celebrated Jack Starrett's 16th birthday with a cake from Cutsforth's.  Jackson is consistently one of the junior workers around the club, by attending work parties, pulling trap on Tuesday and Thursday nights, and being an NRA certified assistant instructor for pistol, rifle, and shotgun classes.  Jack is also on the applicant list to become a CRGC member when he turns 18.

Members who participated in the work party include (new members names are marked by an asterisk):  Wayne Atkinson*, Garret Bedortha, with sons Hunter and Tanner (Troop 882), Andy Beutz*, Don Burton and son Rory (Troop 882), Mike Butler*, Wilson Davenport with son Wil (Troop 882), Steve Day*, Rick Decknadel*, Mike Diggles*, Tia Fraser* and Rick (husband), Steve Giese*, Jim Horn*, Carson Imdieke (Troop 882), Pete Kosky, Eliot Lapidus*, Chuck McClaugherty, Dillon Digby and son Owen Moffit (Troop 882), Richard Montecucco*, Ryan Oster*, Jim Peck*, Richard Phaneuf, John Rapp (applicant), Bob Ray, Bruce Robbins, Dyrk Schlingman*, Paul Shuey, Kevin Starrett and son Jackson, Hayden Taylor (Troop 882), Steve Turner, Cole Unger*, and Eric Van Zandt*.
