Work Party #2, 2015

Work party #2 of 2015 was another very well attended activity, with 50 members and Boy Scouts from Wilsonville Troop 194 present and working.  It was a nice Spring day, and we got a lot done.  Coffee, doughnuts, lunch (from Ebner's), and beverages were available to participants at 12:35 PM.

While the first work party of the year is a winter clean-up event, the second work party is a second clean-up event and preparation for work projects during the Summer.  The following are the tasks that were done:

• Trimmed trees in the parking area and along the road.
• Cut and split more firewood.
• Cleaned and restocked the trap houses.
• Raked wads around trap houses, and trimmed weeds and grass.
• Adjusted ground cloth on shot berm; removed pallets and strung donated tires for hold down.
• Picked up a few hundred pounds of lead shot on the berm.
• Trimmed grass and weeds around the 50 and 100 yard ranges
• Cleaned up trash and repaired targets on the 50 yard ranges.
• Cleaned up and trimmed brush around east end of Elliott property.
• Spread fertilizer in front yard, caretaker's yard, park area, and around trap houses.
