Work Party #4, 2014

Work party #4 of 2014 today was a surprisingly well attended activity, given that it was on the Saturday of a three day weekend.  The day started out as cool and overcast, and progressed to fairly continuous light rain.  Coffee (rather weak), doughnuts, lunch (from Ebner's), and beverages were available to participants.

As usual, there were maintenance tasks to be done, as well as preparation for the sight-in days and increased general use of the rifle range.  There was also some winter preparation work done, but there'll be more waiting at the November work party.  The following are the tasks that were done:

• Raked wads around traps for general clean-up.
• Cleaned and maintained the trap machines.(
• Cleaned the kitchen and appliances.
• Cleaned the vent fan and exhaust pipe in the kitchen.
• Painted some trim on the west side of the clubhouse.
• Hung a few new target frames.
• Cleaned up the storage bunkers and the target areas in the 100 yard butts.
• Maintained the PC at the cashier's window.
• Split and stacked a bunch of firewood that had been donated and transported to the club.

Thanks go to member Pete Kosky and Star Rentals for the wood splitter.  It got a workout.
