Work Party #5, 2010

In the Fall work party #5 gets the club ready for winter, and prepares for the two trap shoots in November and December.  It is mostly clean-up, fix-up, and winterize, and this year was no different.  Lunch was sandwiches from Fisher's Meats, soda, and adult beverages.  The work included:

• Blew leaves from the roof and eaves of the clubhouse (and a few members who walked by underneath at the wrong time) and caretaker's house.
• Raked leaves from the lawn, and blew the leaves in the parking lot into piles, and then took several truckloads to the burn pile.
• Stacked firewood under the shelter.
• Raked wads on traps 1 through 3, and blew leaves off the trap pads.
• Cleaned the trap houses and traps, reset the traps, and lubricated them.
• Cleaned the windows in the clubhouse.
• Replaced exterior lights.
• Cleaned up the patterning board.
• Cleaned up the ranges, and put up new target frames.
• Cut brush around the archery area, and on the 300 yard shooting positions.
