Work Party #3, 2010

The third work party gets us prepared for the WRETA shoot and the club's annual picnic, in addition to regular maintenance.  We had a good turn-out, and a lot of work was done.  Lunch was sandwiches from Fisher's Meats, soda, and adult beverages.  The work included:

• Mowed the trap range, clubhouse lawn, 100 yard range, and the west side of the Molalla Forest Road.
• Weeded the shrubs on the south side of the clubhouse.
• Painted the sign-in kiosk.
• Ate two dozen doughnuts.
• Cleaned off the clubhouse roof, and cleaned the gutters.
• Cleaned up trash around the clubhouse, and on the two 50 yard ranges.
• Cleaned the traps, replaced burned-out lights, and swapped the electric trap in #2 to allow throwing of continental trap.
• Trimmed weeds everywhere.
• Power-washed the white fence along the south side of the park.
• Evened out the ground around the pavilion, and established a grade for drainage prior to tilling and planting grass seed.
• Raked wads on the trap range.
• Cleaned and repaired the electrical outlets in the camping area and on the 50 yard range.

Extra thanks go to Louis Magenheimer for the trackhoe in the park, and Paul Shuey for staying after noon to finish power washing the fence.
