Work Party #1, 2009

The first work party of the year was wet, but not too cold.  Still, it wasn't a very nice day, so we did a mix of indoor and outdoor work.  Some members started arriving just before 7:00 AM, and almost everyone who was going to work showed by by 7:45 AM.  Lunch after the work party consisted of sandwiches from Fisher's Meats, soda and adult beverages.  The tasks included:

• Picked up wads around traps 1 through 3.
• Cleaned up the trap houses, checked trap operation prior to start of Spring League.
• Picked up trash around the clubhouse, and along Molalla Forest Road.
• Cleaned up 50 and 100 yard ranges, reset targets and railroad ties.
• Picked up downed limbs in the park and around the archery range and river.
• Shot one aggressive nutria.
• Filled the wood rack.
• Cleaned the kitchen floor, counters, refridgerator, and microwave..
• Cleaned tabletops on all 60 tables.
• Swept and mopped floor in clubhouse.
• Cleaned the office in the clubhouse.
• Cleaned the bathrooms.
• Washed the doors and replaced burned out exit lights.
• Cleaned the bird room, stacked cables, and disposed of old paint.
• Rewired more telephones, installed a memory upgrade in one PC, and configured the LAN firewall.
