Work Party #1, 2007

Work party #1, the first scheduled work party for 2007, was held on Saturday, 10 March 2007.  The first work party of the year is usually associated with cleaning up after winter, and getting equipment ready for use.  We did relatively little on the ranges, as the 50 yard ranges were still under water.  We also had competition for use of the clubhouse because the hunter education class was so large this time that the Saturday session had to be split over two weekends.  Never the less, we accomplished the following:

• Raked wads on traps 1, 2, and 3.
• Cleaned the trap houses, did general trap maintenance.
• Worked on the machine from trap #2 (the money trap).
• Moved the split wood from the side of the drive and under the cottonwood tree to the east end of the clubhouse. The unsplit wood was not moved.
• Picked up downed limbs and trash
• Burned trash
