Individual Work Parties

Work still needs to be done at CRGC in between the scheduled work parties  Four club members have contributed their weekend time to improving the club's facilities.  The following work has been done recently.

On Friday, August 7, 2004, Spencer Waite delivered a hydroblaster, several hundred pounds of sand, and about 600 feet of PVC pipe to the club.  Spencer borrowed the machine from non-member Steve Van Gordon.  Spencer then returned Saturday morning to provide some quick instruction on the use of the equipment.  Dahle Gubele, a member of the board of directors and CRGC's range chairman, then spent 8.5 hours, with an additional 6 hours of help from Richard Phaneuf, in sandblasting part of the conex container, and all of the welds on the brackets holding up the baffles on the 100 yard range.  The brackets needed to be cleaned prior to painting, so that the club can get final approval from Clackamas County for the baffles.

On Saturday, August 21, 2004, Adrian Hamilton, the club's secretary, and Richard Phaneuf spent 6 hours each sandblasting much of the rest of the conex container.   About four hours of work remains to be done to remove the old paint before the conex can be repainted.

If you happen to see Dahle, Adrian, Richard, or Spencer, please thank them for their work on your behalf.  Anyone else who wishes to help with work around the club can call Mike Crawford (503-655-4530) for a list of tasks that need to be done.
