Vietnam Era Veteran Memorial Fund Raffle

The club's board of directors, at the meeting in June, 2008, decided to sponsor a raffle to benefit the Canby Vietnam Era Veterans Memorial.  The club would raffle a Weatherby Vanguard rifle, with stainless steel barrel and receiver, in 7mm Remington Magnum.  Tickets would be sold during September and October, with the drawing to be held at the board meeting on 17 November 2008.

The drawing was held as scheduled, and the winner of the rifle was CRGC member Michael Cubbage.  Mike, who happened to be present at the meeting, said that he had purchased the winning ticket in September.

The memorial is between Highway 99E and SW 4th Avenue, near the southwest end of Canby.  Information about the memorial can be found on the fund's web site http://www.vietnameramemorial.org/.
