Tualatin Valley Trap League

Tuesday, 17 November 2009

Trap Chairman Dan Stevens has reported on the first meeting of the Tualatin Valley Trap League (TVTL) at CRGC.

CRGC hosted the Tualatin Valley Trap League for the first time on Friday, 15 January 2010.  There were 116 shooters that attended from the five clubs participating in the League:  Banks, Canby, Hillsboro, Newberg, and Verboort.  The competition started at dark, about 5:30 PM, and ran until nearly 10:00 PM.  Everyone seemed to have a good time in spite of the steady (and sometimes heavy) rainfall.  Canby had 9 shooters attend and we managed to pull out our first win of the league season.

There will be 6 more shoots this year on Friday nights, with the next one at Hillsboro on January 22nd.  The remaining schedule is:  Banks at Verboort (January 29th), Verboort (February 5th), Newberg (February 12th), and Canby again on February 19th.  The final shoot off will be held at Hillsboro on February 26th.

This league is open to anyone who shoots regularly at CRGC.  Dan hopes that more Canby shooters can attend the remaining shoots and show those guys that we know how to shoot on this side of the valley.

If you have additional questions you can call Dan (503-319-4082) or send him an e-mail for more information.  The rules for the TVTL can be found here.
