2005 Annual CRGC Rifle and Shotgun Shoots

The club's annual shoots were held on Sunday, 11 September 2005.  The rifle competition this year was different than those in the last several years.  This time Dahle Gubele organized a single elimination tournament, shot from the 100 yard line, where the targets were clay pigeons.  The first round was done using 120 mm diameter targets, while the second round used 90mm and 60 mm targets.  Seniors (members over 60 years old) shot from the bench, while all others shot from the off-hand position.  The winners were:

• Senior group, Hugh Boyle
• Adult group, Tom Burdett
• Junior group, Kody Russell

Dan Stevens put on the club's shotgun shoot.  There were six different events:

• Goose shoot, sitting on ground 10 yard in front of trap, 5 birds
• Rail shoot, standing at the rail behind the trap pad on trap 2, 10 birds
• High speed continental, standing at 16 yards, 10 birds
• Quail walk, starting from 27 yard line, 5 birds
• Doubles, sitting in a chair on 24 yard line, 5 pairs of birds
• Two round flurry, standing at 24 yard line, 10 burds

• First place, Gary Griesenauer, 40 birds
• Second place, Stan Raney, 34 birds
• Third place, Dan Stevens, 33 birds
