Basic Firearm Safety for Junior Shooters

Monday, 3 October 2005

The Oregon Firearms Education Foundation's basic firearms safety class for junior shooters was held at the club on Sunday, 2 October 2005.  There were 10 juniors and 6 adults who came to the class.  CRGC members Ed Dunnigan and Kevin Starrett (who is Director of the OFEF) presented the classroom instruction and conducted the shooting on the west 50 yard range.  The class was successful despite the moderate rain showers that passed through the area several times that afternoon.  Consideration is being given to conducting another class of the same type in the early Spring of 2006.

Information about the OFEF can be found at the organization's web site - www.oregonfirearms.org.  You can also e-mail Kevin, or call him at 503-263-3708.
