The Hiway Tire trap shoot was held on Sunday, 8/24/08. The shoot included a 30 and 60 bird backer, and a calcutta for those confident in their ability to pick winners. In addition to the shooting there were raffles and prizes, with breakfast and lunch available from the kitchen with Julie Leiss doing the cooking. There were 30 teams that shot in the backers. The overall winners, with a score of 59, were Earl Feller, Mike Norman, Pat Burke, and Gary Pack.
Several people and organizations donated prizes or support for the shoot. These included: Millar's Hiway Tire, Morgan Distributing, Inc. (a Budweiser distributor), Dan and Julie Postlewait, Sportsmans Wharehouse, and Vineyard Graphics.
Like most functions at CRGC, the success of the event depends on the volunteers. The people who made the shoot successful included: Brandon Ayres, Ben Millar, Julie Leiss, Dan Postlewait, Julie Postlewait, Donna Smith, and Dan Stevens.
