Fund Raiser Prizes 2007

The board and officers discussed prizes for the fund raiser both at the board meeting and at Tuesday night's open trap shooting. The result was that we have the best set of prizes yet to be won. The following are the prizes for the 2007 fund raiser drawing at the annual meeting on Saturday, 20 January 2007:
- Savage Model 12FVSS Varmint in .22-250 Remington. Synthetic stock with dual pillar bedding, stainless steel action with 4 round internal box magazine, AccuTrigger, oversized bolt handle, stainless steel 26 inch heavy fluted barrel, twist rate is 1 in 12 inches, free-floating and button-rifled, drilled and tapped for scope mounts. - Lamiglas XMG 50 Casting Rod 1 piece 7' long, 8-17 lb line, and Shimano CU200DPV Curado Casting Reel, with 5 ball bearings, 5:1 gear ratio, low-profile construction. See Lamiglas web site and Shimano web site.
- Garmin eTrex Summit combination GPS, altimeter, and electronic compass. The electronic compass provides bearing information when you're standing still and the altimeter determines precise altitude. The case is completely waterproof to withstand immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. The unit stores 500 waypoints, with a 64 x 128 pixel display, and 16-hour battery life. - Benchmade 9530SBK Combo Edge Mini Auto-Stryker knife with 2.9" long, 0.1" thick blade of 154CM Stainless Steel (a type of steel developed for turbine blades in jet engines). Button auto open with integrated safety mechanism. See Benchmade web site.
Tickets will be offered for sale on the dues invoice which will be mailed in the next two weeks. Tickets may also be purchased any Tuesday or Thursday evening, or at the annual meeting. The least expensive of these prizes lists for over $200, so help the club, and maybe help yourself, by purchasing tickets to the drawings.
