End of Year Questions

Sunday, 12 November 2006

At the end of each membership year, which was set to coincide with the calendar year, there are a number of things which need to be done, and on which it is always useful to ask the membership for suggestions.  This web page lists the questions on which we (the board of directors) would like your opinions and suggestions, and reminds you of the other opportunities for you to serve the membership.  You may respond by sending an e-mail to any of the board members or to the club's e-mail address:  crgc@canby.com.  We would be happy to get your input.

  1. We need nominations for club officers and two of the board positions.  The club bylaws require a committee of past presidents to put together a list of nominees to present to the members at the annual meeting.  All four of the officers (president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer) are elected each year, and two of the two-year director positions, currently held by Dan Postlewait and Dan Stevens, are also open this year.  You can make your suggestions to either Dahle Gubele (503-771-5378) or Dennis Kenagy (503-266-8664).  Nominees for the board will also be accepted from members attending the annual meeting.
  2. Do you have any suggestions for the menu for the annual meeting?
  3. Do you have any suggestions for the door prizes for the annual meeting?
  4. Do you have any suggestions for the prizes for the annual fund raiser (raffle) for the drawing at the annual meeting?
  5. Are you interested in working on any of the committees during the next year?  These include:
  6. Are you interested in working in either of the two positions that require specialized knowledge or qualifications - the club's webmaster, and an FFL holder?  In addition, both of these positions require that the people involved be at the club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, or to attend club functions, or both.
  7. Are you interested in being the club's representative to the Oregon Association of Shooting Ranges?

Don't forget to mark the annual meeting on your calendar:  Saturday, 20 January 2007.  The doors open at 6:00 PM, and the meeting will start at 7:00 PM.
