Annual Meeting

Sunday, 20 December 2009

The annual meeting of the CRGC membership will be held on Saturday, 16 January 2010.  The meeting will start an hour earlier than in previous years so that we can get an earlier start on post-meeting activities (like supper and raffles).  The doors will open at 5:00 PM, and the business meeting will start at 6:00 PM.  Before the meeting starts, members will be able to:

The annual fund raiser is slightly different this year in that there will be two first place prizes, with two winners.  The prizes are:

The first person drawn for first prize will have the choice of which handgun to select.

In addition to other prizes, we will also again raffle off the Traeger Lil' Tex barbeque grill that was offered at the annual picnic in July, 2009.  Bill Doak, who won the grill at the picnic drawing, very generously donated the grill back to the club so that we can raffle it again, for the benefit of the junior shooting programs.  (In addition, Bill was promised foregiveness for his past transgressions at the club, and absolution for his future misdeeds.)  Steve Nimrod, who was negotiating to buy the grill from Bill at the picnic, also very kindly stepped aside from the purchase so as not to tempt Bill into another possible transgression.

The door prizes are unique this year, and a departure from previous meetings.  CRGC was able, through All Sports, to buy 150 of the last Kershaw Black Horse II folding knives to be made in Oregon.  Through the generosity of member Vance Nartker, his company in Mulino (Laser Marking Services, Inc., http://www.lms-laser.com/) laser etched the club's name on one side of each blade, and the club's logo on the other side.  There will be 120 of the knives given away at the annual meeting, and 30 of the knives were reserved for sale to members who may want them.  The knives are being sold on a first-come, first-served basis for a price of $30.00.  If you wish to purchase one of the knives, please communicate with Doug Phaneuf at 503-651-3035, or e-mail him at the club crgc@canby.com.
