Below are the dates for all of the Oregon & Utah Concealed Handgun License (CHL) Classes for 2021. These classes are taught by NRA and Utah certified instructors working with the CRGC Educational Foundation, Inc. (CEFI).
Class fee is $40 per person for the first state and $10 for each additional state.
This class is all lecture, so please do NOT bring any firearms to the class.
The general time line for the class is:
11:45AM - Doors open
Noon - Oregon Class start.
This first section only applies to Oregon. We cover some Federal law along with Oregon's CHL requirements, carry laws - where you can and can't carry, interacting with law enforcement, and use of force laws.
1:45PM-ish - Break for Oregon students and bring in Utah only students.
2PM-ish - Start the firearms safety portion as required by Utah
4:30PM-ish - Break for all, issue certificates for Oregon students, pass out Utah materials including fingerprint cards and UT CHL applications
4:35AM - Continue with Utah legal
This section only applies to Utah. We cover some Federal law along with Utah's CHL requirements, carry laws - where you can and can't carry, interacting with law enforcement, and use of force laws.
6:30PM-ish - Sign & stamp the Utah CHL applications that the students have filled out during the previous lecture
